A Creamy and Flavorful Twist on Traditional Lasagna

Ingredients
  1. Nine noodles for lasagna
  2. Two cups of cooked, shredded or cubed chicken
  3. Two tablespoons of Alfredo sauce
  4. Two cups of ricotta
  5. Two cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded
  6. Two cups of Parmesan cheese, grated
  7. One diced onion
  8. three minced garlic cloves
  9. Two tablespoons of olive oil
  10. One teaspoon of dried basil
  11. One teaspoon of dried oregano
  12. one teaspoon of salt
  13. A quarter of a teaspoon ground black pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for a few minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the cooked chicken to the skillet and season with dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine and heat through.
  5. In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom.
  7. Place 3 lasagna noodles evenly over the sauce.
  8. Spread 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by 1/3 of the chicken mixture. Drizzle with Alfredo sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a layer of lasagna noodles, Alfredo sauce, and a generous amount of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  10. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
